About Paul Robert Zink, AIA

Paul R. Zink, Architect, is a full service architectural design firm with an emphasis on traditional design styles. The number one rule is to listen to the client, to discover what beauty they see around them and incorporate those items into where they live and work.

Projects range from interior remodels of 500 square feet, to new home construction of 5,000 square feet. Each of my projects is different in styling because each client brings to me their own interests. I strive to make interior rooms uniquely important with ceiling detailing that add to the beauty of coming home every day. It is important to design around client’s furniture and provide built-in cabinets with lots of storage for your home. Windows & Doors and their placement are important ways to connect with nature, lead to outdoor living rooms, and provide wonderful breezes. Your designed home, as seen from the street, becomes part of the neighborhood and should be welcoming to all.

I would love the opportunity to meet with you for your remodeling needs or if you are building a new home in the Santa Barbara County area. I have over 25 years experience in the area with established relationships with the Building and Planning Department staff members. References and addresses of finished projects are available upon request. Please call or e-mail to schedule a complimentary review of your project ideas.

I have served on the City of Santa Barbara’s Architectural Board of Review for eight years and have served on the City of Santa Barbara’s Single Family Design Board for four years. In addition, I have served on the Board of Directors for the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara and was the President of the American Institute of Architect’s Santa Barbara Chapter in 2005 serving on this board for five years.

My extra time is spent with my wife Susan and my two kids Megan and Paul Graham. We love to travel and are always looking forward to our next trip on the horizon.
